interesting upgrade results

this is probably a repost but just in case
has anybody seen the 6 part upgrade by european car magazine? it backs its choices up with before and after data, some result are quite surprising

That's an old article but i never was able to read it all because there are missing some parts or can anyone here help me out
 
i was impressed with the power freed up by going to lighter wheels, that mod has so many + points it should be first on the list, i checked the wheels they used and they are $1000 each
also a 5 HP gain for a simple panel filter and removing the carbon filter, its not going to make a big difference but its not far off free if done instead of an OEM filter change
I like the fact they test on track with data logger as well as dyno, a lot of dyno power runs dont give a true picture as they are done with bonnet up so hot air is not taken into acount.

I did notice that there was no mention of anything being done to the ECU, so assume they're just releasing some of the ponies that were restricted in the US version. I'd assume those mods would not produce the same gains on a UK car.
 
it was 2007 so probably not much developed for the car plus they wanted to keep the BM warrantee, i should think the header wont produce such gains against an Eu header as thats a poular upgrade in the US.
is the filter box the same?
