Interesting move on modding by Subaru > Pro-R

Given the problems that we [BMW owners] have with some of our mods and in particular warranty issues. Subaru are going after the after market - just announced the Pro-R range. Unlike the BMW performance options, the likes of which I suspect are available from Subaru, these are full on after market products. They've [Subaru] tested the products themselves before adding to the range, but they have messed about either, include - dotz, Scorpion and the best... Alcon :D

The best bit, for people like us, owners can fit them themselves and still not affect the warranty.

Above is a summary, the article (an exclusive) is on page 14 of the attached link, worth a read...

I want those brakes 8)

Be great if this catches on!

It would indeed mate. I dont think i'd actually buy any though seeing as they'll definitely have hiked price than the same non-BMW Approved components. But come to think of it if i really wanted to be safe in the knowledge that my warranty is safe i might consider it.

How about a CSL line of carbon fibre products? I'm thinking more along the lines of bucket seats and CF airboxes than shiny interior trim. :)

CSL carbon bits would be nice... and you're right, forget the trinkets - a CF airbox would be nice. I still keep thinking about those carbon seats I found a little while back. Be interested what the price comparison is with the Subaru approved items.

And yes, the wheels... I think one of the biggest benefits for my car would be a set of lightweight alloys.

I'll be watching other manufacturers reactions with interest.
