Don't you already have a speedometer right in front of you in the car?

Plus it's not a 'heads-up' display as that would entail projecting the image onto the windscreen.
 
GPS is more accurate than the car speedo, as all manufacturers make them read high so you can't sue them when you get booked. Also, the car can be inaccurate if your tyre pressures are seriously wrong, or you have fitted non-standard sized tyres.
 
Surely you’ll get a ticket for having an obstructed view, in a car not bike of course.
