Interesting android head unit

I am looking at what head unit options there are for Z4’s, has anyone installed one of these?

It looks like it could fit perfectly between the vents and controls as the screen can be detached and moved

I've made up a little template, going to see how it would fit tonight.
If it doesn't block vents or controls, think I will take the plunge. I'm hoping it will cover the left & right hand side of the fascia plate that a normal single din unit wouldn't.

I installed one in my MX5. Not this particular one but I have to say I'm not all that impressed with it. Mine is a Pumpkin. Stupid name and not very reliable. Google maps keeps on crashing, the screen isn't very responsive and now it's stopped outputting sound to the main speakers. I could send it back under warranty but it'd cost about 50 quid to send it to China and I'd be without anything for several weeks if not months.
A nice idea and quite cheap but at the end of the day you get what you pay for.
I wouldn't buy another one

What MX-5 did you have? I went down the Nexus 7 round in my NC but couldn't get it working with the BOSE system.
I'd heard good things about the Pumpkin units, but never heard of Joying until finding this one. The 2gb version gets good reviews, can't find any reviews on the 4gb version, guessing its newer.

Shame they don't do one . :

I still have it. It's a 1990 Eunos that used to belong to the owners club technical specialist so it's got a lot of useful upgrades. Lots of chassis bracing, full race exhaust and uprated ARBs. It handles like a dream but sadly it has to go, along with our other car, a 3 litre Jaguar S type, to make room for the Z4 we're looking for at the moment.
