Intercooler cleaning

So, the intercooler on my car is as you'd expect despite the grill in front of it, filled with flies and bits of general matter. Does anyone have a tip on how to clean this (other than a jet washer as I'm loathe to use that incase I damage the intercooler/fins etc). Can any one recommend a good cleaner that might dissolve the dirt enough to just spray a hosepipe in there to clean it out a bit?

my jet wash has this nozzle that sort of spins as the water comes out. it creates a mist of wather rather than the harsh jet but still has some pressure behind it maybe this would work for you .... or just the normal hose?

how about a bucket and a dish brush thingy and so it by hand.... if it can take the flies at speed then i would expect it to be ok with a hose/presure washer at a distance.

Inter cooler - radiator, right ? I have a similar paranoia about mine, but of you think about it the flies / stones / rain water at high driving speeds hasn't killed it, so I doubt a few squirts of the jetwash will hurt :?

He has a 335 so it will have an inter cooler, I would spray it with some dilute washing up liquid then jet wash, from a distance, you shouldn't bend the fins.

Id like to get it from the back side of the radiator and push all that crud out, increasing the efficiency again.

Jet wash gently ?

Spray it liberally with something like Surfex HD at about 10:1 and leave to 'soak' for 30 mins (don't let it dry out - top up the spray if necessary) . The flies and other crud should then rinse away with minimal persuasion - if you have a pressure washer lance with adjustable output, that would be ideal

I took mine off and washed it in the bath.

Honestly.

Was from my GSX-R 600 though, so easier to work with
