Intake Removal

Has anyone got a definitive picture/video guide of taking off the whole air intake assembly on the S54 engine? Seems fairly straightforward but a guide would be good to follow! Going to give it all a good clean off including the ICV which would no doubt be useful to other members.
Cheers

Here you go.

1. squeeze the clips on the sides of the MAF sensor whilst pulling the plug from the socket to detach the plug.
2. loosen the screw so that the jubilee clip can easily rotate.
3. press down on the black part of each of the 5 clips that holds the lid in place. Practice opening and closing the most visible one when you start so that you can position them properly when refitting. Once the lid is completely unclipped lift it slightly and wriggle the lid free from the corrugated tubing and then remove it and then remove the filter.
4. Lift and and wriggle firmly the lower part of the box and the box will then come off the two oval retaining lugs in front of the suspension tower and the rubber gaiter for the inlet besides the radiator.

Installation is the reverse of the removal.

If you want the instructions for the plenum then you'll find them here: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=&tl=en&u=http://tis.bmwcats.com/

Cheers exdos. When putting the plenum back on do you need to use any grease on the ITB connections?

Doesn't mention it so I guess not, just heard it can help the seal but I'll give it a miss then! Cheers
