Been looking on line for insurance for the M, two-years ago try to insure with direct line
But it was a no go because the z had to have a tracker fitted but looking this year no tracker came up on the quote.
So the question is anyone on here insure their ZM with them and if so did they ask ?

Cheers

Yes, I did.
Filled in everything online got quote £460 ish :? I accepted the quote and received a phone call asking me if I had a tracker fitted ( I don't)
I asked where does it say anything about a tracker in the online form? I did not lie about anything!
Caller says " I will check with my supervisor" gets back to me and says its under terms & conditions.I was not happy
Who checks that when you have answered every question on the application honestly !!!! told him to stick it.
Got a similar quote of Axis accepted it then phoned them up and asked Do I need a tracker? No, was the answer.
Funnily enough insurance is due for renewal on the 18th August, so far Sheilas wheels and Ensure are coming up cheapest,
I have cancelled policy with Axis, HATE it when they just automatically just take the money out of your account and assume you will just stay with them , I have got quote £300 cheaper already
Good Luck
Allan.

I'm insured with them and they do ask for a tracker and will ask for a copy of the certificate and you are not covered for theft until they've acknowledged it.

IIRC there was some fuss as they are, or were, investors in Tracker.

They are total arses asking for a tracker. I have a tracker fitted but don't use it. They never offer a policy discount that comes even remotely close to the cost of the tracker subscription - so why even ask????

If they won't even insure the car without one then are definitely NOT the insurance company you should consider going with anyway. This is posted in the E85/6 area so I'm assuming an older car scenario (different if car is brand new).

Interesting replies here. I am with direct line, so a consideration if I ever get an ///M. Luckily IMmie has one

Anyone would think tracker UK were owned by direct line the amount of times that direct line specify that a tracker is required.

Oh hang on a minute.....

They are aren't they.

My ///M had one fitted anyway when I bought it so I just paid the lifetime subscription, now I'm not with direct line anymore I haven't bothered to declare it being fitted as nobody else seems to care!
