Always been sceptical about any kind of insured warranty, especially since I met a guy who was employed by an insurance
company to do nothing but "rubbish" any claims ...... the fact that they employ people to do this says an awful lot ......
Reading small print you almost expect to see the line, everything is covered except the things you are likely to claim for.
An example that makes my blood boil - life insurance for over 50's advertised on TV.
Perfect product, exactly what you need ....... until you read the small print.
" ........ if at any time you fail to pay an installment or are late paying an installment the the policy is null an void. "
What are the chances that over a 20 year period say, that your bank will be late making a payment ?
........ and I phoned them up to ask, if I was taken into hospital fatally injured or dying with say cancer (the reason I would want the insurance) ..... and I was unable to make a payment on time because I was unconscious ........ what then ? ......... the answer was, your policy would be cancelled sir and you would lose all the payment you made over 20 years ........
In short ........ insurance company's hired people to make a product that was designed to fail that would generate huge revenues with no payouts ........
