Insurance: what increase in premium for you?

Got mine in up from £330-£372 with Esure, they did forget my SP 30 in march phoned them they looked at notes and said they forgot!?!?! so it's now up to £441. Axa are £350 but excess a lot more and no phone number to ask if other cars covered third party( have to drive father in laws car occasionally).

Renewal from elephant in post yesterday = £531, new quote £344 with Esure (2.0i). No brainer. I'll try Chris Knott, but will probably get tired of the 'queue'.

My renewal from Admiral was not only cheaper, but still the cheapest... £20 off i think... That makes around £560. Not bad for 27 with 4yrs ncb i think!

AdrianFlux just quoted me over £1000 :headbang:

Its definitely an area thing... I have a very bad feeling mine will be scraping 2K this year... utter madness insurance in Manchester. If I do a test quote on a not so lovely bit of Doncaster my mother lives in, its just £700 !!

not really a renewal hike but...

just in the process of changing my insurance, going from my E36 316i Compact to a 2.5i SE Roadster :D

now got some quotes through moneysupermarket, and best quote is with Admiral £718 as a 23 year old, 3 years no claims, 5 years driving and parents on it. thought great. so rang admiral and they want a lot more.

at the moment i'm paying around £600 a year on a 316, and looking at the Z insurance, Admiral want £1k plus for the year!!! so to me it works out cheaper just to get to a brand new quote! how daft!

has anyone else had this trouble when transferring insurance?

Ps I'm in the outskirts of Glasgow! So mibbee post code it is as mine is soooo cheap!!

My renewal went up by about £100 with Adrian Flux.

Ended up getting a quote from Greenlight, £200 LESS than last year's policy, overall £300 than my Flux renewal AND they allow trackday coverage to be added simply and easily should I feel the need

i have just had an email of Aviva, reminding my insurance quote is still valid, they only want £2650 ffs :headbang:

£422 with £28 cashback through quidco and swiftcover.

10 years NCB. 5k per annum, garaged, no accidents, 39 with 40yo wife on policy.

No points for either. Z4MC value 20k

My premium went up a LOT last month :( I had checked in Feb to see what the renewal might be by checking the comparison sites, was coming out at around £800. Renewal, which was surprisingly cheaper than anywhere else.... £1,189. This is with Admiral. Pricey cars to insure, these Z4s.

I'm feeling better after reading the posts here. My insurance is up in August and to be honest, I was dreading it after hearing all the 30/40% stories going around. Plus, I claimed this year so im down to 3 years NCB. Maybe it wont be so bad after all....

///m with 3 points four years ago,as much no claims as they would give me,£344 morethan :D
