Yes, it’s due soon! As “More Than” won’t allow any mods like air filters, any recommendations for who will guys & Girls?

Tricky, since everyone's circumstances are different but if it's your 2nd car then Classic Line have done good deals for people on here, me included (http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=30831)

If not, then Elephant/Admiral have always been competitive, but I never had any mods on my car so not sure on their view for that kind of stuff.

What do http://www.confused.com say?

I'm also with Classic Line, only thing they won't do is insure for commuting, so if you need that no good, but otherwise give them a call.

Got mine for £370 back in October

Last year, for me, the two 'cheapest' were Bell and LV, but Bell was £300 cheaper than LV.

This year (and considering my claim has now been settled as non-fault) my Bell renewal increased by 30%, and LV are now cheaper than Bell were the previous year.

No mods on mine, unlimited mileage, SDPC & business class 1 use, parked on the road/drive in Liverpool costs approx £1,000.

I'm sure you do but watch Bell like a hawk - they always try to increase the renewal. Do a confused.com quote their sister companies (admiral et al) always come up cheaper... phone bell and they match.

Admiral seem happy to insure modified cars, but they state that they will replace any damaged modified parts only with OEM, so effectively the mods are considered in the risk and thence premium, but are not themselves insured

Adrian flux specialise in modified cars.

Will they insure an ///M?

I don't see why not, give them a quick call. Last year they offered to half my premium if I modified my car, unfortunately because I'm 21 their lowest offer was still over my other offer from elephant.

Always do the comparisons every year so that I don't miss out on any new deals, but Admiral were more expensive than my renewal.

The only issue I had with Bell was that they settled the claim as 50/50 without bothering to tell me, and then I had to instruct my own legal team to recover my excess and hire car charges, as Bell were not bothered despite the lorry driver admitting he'd driven into me, but denying liability :headbang:

I only left LV for Bell because LV removed my track day cover on renewal one year without telling me, and simply said it was up to me to double-check the policy terms online every time I renew.

I've a multicar policy at the moment, so they might struggle to match it, but I'll certainly give them a call when it's renewal time

Just renewed my insurance this morning.

£609...About £50 more than last year! It's shocking really!

6yrs NCB, 26yr old, No points etc.

Clio was £484 prorata from May 1st to Feb. But will get some back as it comes off the road end of Oct.

Don't moan at that Ali, that's about the same as I paid last year and I'm a lot older than you with full NCB and no points. That's living in Glasgow for you though.

That time of year again and I've just received my renewal notice from LV=

Surprisingly it was 25% cheaper than last year (£820 compared to £1070) - however they wouldn't quote for it with the exhaust and intake (when it finally arrives).

So had a quick look at all the comparison sites - which was quite quick this year as I only had to modify last year's quotes - and I've already found Admiral will do the same cover (including the mods) at £888.

SKY insurance won't quote for L postcodes - isn't that racist :P

Just waiting on the non-online/specialist ones to get back to me as I'd really like to get a policy that includes trackdays/nurburgring, rather than paying £200 a day on top each time - which gets expensive for a 5 day 'Ring trip, considering you may only get 2 or 3 laps on a bad day.

ETA: specialists have come back and they can't cover due to the combination of high miles, business use & track day cover. Limit is 8k miles and they don't do business cover. So looks like it's Admiral at £888 then, and 1st party only cover for trackdays/ring trips on a day-to-day basis.

Ok guys i have just re-insured mine with criss knott 6 years no claims clean licence 40 years old £0 volontary and £250 compulsory with legal £560 and all my mods declared, everyone one off them.I went on compare the market and it couldnt beat it.Still more than last year so i will be given them a call to try and get it down a bit more.

I've always used competition car insurance but they wanted £520 this time. I ended up going with admiral as part of a multicar. Paid £260, £250 excess, protected no claims, limited mileage (5k) with no commuting.
