Insurance renewal...cheaper than a night out!

Got renewal quote for the E89 today.....the wife and I, 7k miles p/a, SD & commuting....£196.00.
Down from £274.00 last year. Almost 30% saving. Well happy and pretty shocked TBH.
I paid more for an evening out for four at a crap restaurant recently.

Moral of the story.....buy more cars and make your own dinner! :lol:

It pays to shop around on insurance. I found (surprisingly to me) that the RAC was way cheaper than everyone else on my G29. Came in at well under £400 with an RAC members discount (I have to have RAC membership because of my powered two wheeler passions).

For the first time ever the renewal quote was the cheapest option. I did the comparison thing (as I always do) and it couldn't be beaten.
A 30% reduction in premium, without any prompting or arguing, is unheard of in my experience.
I am sure the premium above is the cheapest I have ever had for any car in the past 39 years of driving.

My last three years have all been cheapest with the current insurers. I think it was under £200 this year.
