I never enjoy dealing with insurance companies. It's a complete PITA and usually they charge you obscene amounts for the smallest modification. This year at renewal, one company wanted an extra £200 to insure my hardtop! Crazy
Anyway, this post is actually a good news story. I called Direct Line today to tell them about my new interior, which I'll be fitting tomorrow (yes yes I'll post pics after fitting them). I expected a hike in premium. However, I was told that - as long as I'm sticking with BMW parts, no additional premium is due. I'm a happy chap, and the mod is noted on my policy. I also ran through a couple of mods I'd forgotten about, custom wheels etc - again, no additional payment due.
All in all, I'm pretty chuffed :dance2:
