How would I dob some one in anonymously who I know has no insurance on their car?
I don't see why I abide by the law and insure my car and always have done and someone close by doesn't give a toss.

That doesn't look very legit to me, not sure about the reporting of no insurance online but how about calling your local police anonymously (141 in front of a landline, #31# from a mobile), or use one of those red public toilets.

Do they have tax either?, if not then this....

https://www.gov.uk/report-untaxed-vehicle

You can check if a vehicle is taxed for free https://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/app/enquiry?execution=e1s2

You can also check if it currently insured http://ownvehicle.askmid.com/

Found the tax ran out January but SORN and still parked on the road + no insurance.

Car up the road from me similar - parked on the road (when the guy has space on his drive and parking on the road often causes double parking issues). Tax ran out last year.

Nice note on the windscreen - if it is just parked.

If they are using it -
Make sure they are in their house, preferably drunk, and the car is parked on its own on the road.
Call the police and ambulance services saying someone has been run over and the driver has run off leaving his car.
Before they arrive jump on the bonnet, denting it, then lie in the road about 5-10 yards in front of the car shouting "Aaaaagh, Aaaaagh come back you bastard" and tell anyone who will listen that he ran in to that house over there.
Job done.

So what's the issue here?
You're complaining about someone who has sorn their car and doesn't need to insure it but has parked it on the road?

Or is it uninsured, sorn and they drive it which is obviously bad

Uninsured, sorn and driven

Even sorn and parked on the road is illegal.

haha, reminds me of those insurance scam dash cam videos where you see people doing exactly that.

Knowing my luck, I'd be filmed!

May just be me ......

but aren't these the same kind of people that are likely to key the side of a Zed because they have been grassed up .......

Looks like they have now sold it because I saw a guy get in it and drive it away yesterday.

Good point. I was gonna grass up the guy up the road from me cos I thought he was a scumbag (I've lived here for 14yrs and never spoke to him) then the other week I had a parcel delivered for him to my house, so took it round. He actually seemed ok, so my scumbag assumption was wrong.

If they know who grassed them up then retaliation would be easy.

Maybe an upopular view but I blame (at least partly) the thieving shitehawk insurance companies for creating an environment where insurance quotes can be so f*cking ridiculous in the first place. I do not condone but can understand why our hooded garment wearing youngsters can be tempted down the illegal path if they are asked for £2,000 a year to drive a car that is only worth £500 in the first place.

There is no need for anyone to point out the third party risk aspect of insurance underwriting to me. The facts are simple, it did not used to be like this when I was 17 and it is the insurance industry that has brought us to this position today. If they had responded correctly to the onslaught of unsubstantiated sponge scarf wearing scammers years ago instead of just rolling over, passing the cost through to customers and making even more money in the process we would be in a very different position today. At least there is now some signs of the wind of change beginning to blow through the frankly dirty industry.
