Regarding the Xenons this is the end result:

I think its night and day in terms of difference.

Lets see how long they last.

Next stubby (tomorrow) and degingering on the agenda.

Whilst I had the bumper out I used a can of Wurth Wax oil, better known as cavity protection spray and protected most metal parts.

Do you have a 10 speaker stereo or the 6? I'm looking at doing this but there seem to be a few people who are having problems adjusting the volume - how have you found it?

Hi fairzy,

This is a mjor misconception with the BMW system.

You adjust the volume from the little knob supplied with the parrot.

The head unit is being used as an amplifier whilst so to say the preamp is the Parrot, hence volume control is through the preamp (parrot).

So the parrot volume controls what is playing through that (phone or iPod etc) and the stereo volume control still controls the 'normal' stuff - radio / cd etc?

Any BMW connector by parrot. So you will have parrot leads to connector to ISO connectors on the stereo.

This is almost true of mine. The volume you set before activating the Parrot makes a difference. For example if you are listening to the radio loudly then a call comes in or you decide to listen to your music collection through the Parrot, then the max volume on the Parrot will be louder than if the volume of the radio had been lower. Hope this makes sense.
