Installed the woodgrain trim ( Pictures)

It must be an American think, I just do not see the appeal of woodgrain in this type of car.

I was looking at E90 Sports when looking at Z4's and anything that had wood was an immediate turn off.

Luxury car yes maybe

Modern Sports Car definitely not.

Sorry just had to be said.

God, I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like it  . It looks like a Mercedes Benz - damn Zee, get a hobby or something, you're freaking out on your car here. Sorry love, I just don't like it...at all. The stripe was OK and grew on me but this...this is...ugh!!

Sorry, I did miss your post. I was reading along and saw how everyone else liked it and I guess I skipped over a few...just being 'eye' lazy  .

For the record, I'm not keen on woodgrain either. Was interested to see if I could get some more 'piano black' bits to match the rest of my dashboard.

I've gotta say, I agree. I like the aliminium dash, and the piano black is kinda cool too - but I'm not sure wood goes in a car like a Z4.

It's a weird love/hate thing, wood trim. Some people go mad for it, but I have to agree I'm one that can't stand it. But if you're happy then it's all that matters :D

Uh, oh!!! :?

thats why I did not do the whole wood grain thing...just a splash here and there to give it a little different look.I like the alum dash so I did not do the whole thing.just trimmed the shifter and left the rest aluminum. I think the mixture of a little wood,a little metal, and a little black works well.

Well OK then, I suppose you haven't completely lost your marbles :dizzy: . I would have hired the mob to sneak in your house and break your legs and fingers had you done the dash

I think you've got the right combination. What is the wood trim made of?

I nearly suggested burning it in an earlier post, but thought better of it, as the fumes from the plastic, sorry wood me be poisonous.

Wood in a ZED 4 just does not sound right... fortunately it looks rather splendid

Not for me sorry. Wood = fuddy duddy, pipe and slippers! I hope you enjoy it though.

I try not to smoke the pipe with the top down...gets a lot of ashes in my eyes, And never drive with my slippers on....they keep getting hung up on the clutch going into third gear :D and have given serious thought to taking the fuzzy dice off the rear view....they keep hitting me in the face during hard right turns
