Installed parking sensors (non BMW)

What I would do different next time, is to apply more "gue" over the sensor as it appearantly does not matter. It is a bit of a worry to me what happens when it ages, i.e. will the sticky bit go in the heat / cold / dirt etc.

Ordered :D Although they may be sitting boxed for a while, while I work this out :?

Cool, will keep that in mind... might look at putting duct tape over the back, protect against the dirt. Will see where it sits and how dirty that is when the bumper comes off.

In the manual, it states that if there is metal nearby, you simply have to wrap the metal in tape. Then it will not interfere with the sensor.
Ah, but when there's this much metal involved I wonder what would happen:

The rack - when folded at least) sticks out a maximum of 20cm from the van. My worry is that the sensor strip would "sense" the rack uprights falsely. Hard to know without trying. Obviously when the rack's folded down and in use with bikes on it, it's another case entirely, but I've always got a parking assistant for instances like that lol.
