Hello guys.

Got this from the DHL man this afternoon.
Its to replace the thermoplastic one I stuffed on track and get a deeper sound from the sports trim AC Schnitzer mufflers. It comes as a package. I'm not one to go for cosmetic changes ahead of mechanical one, but since I had to get new parts anyway... Getting fitted this week alond with braided lines, new CSL front disks, fluid and Pagids all round. (hopefully it will stop me breaking bits of my car next time although I'll insist that it the driver that needs tuning as opposed to the car :D ).

note the German name for sports silencer: Sportauspuff  (girlfriend doesn't find it funny :P )

Apologies as the pics are from my BB:

Nice one! We'll need more pictures and videos when you bolt everything on. That diffuser is one of the very few body modifications that i like.

getting it back this week hopefully  its been out of action for a month now and I'm really starting to miss it.

The whole kit is very well finished but the diffuser looks a little fragile so needs very carefull installation.

Ring Daniel at ACS UK, they were extremly helpful and patient with my tons of questions. I believe they already had the entire kit in stock and so I got a good deal for both. Quite enjoyed dealing with those guys

Hello all.

Sorry for the lack of an update, after getting the car back in July I was busy enjoying it in August :D :driving: :D
Pagis Yellow RS29 installed - squeek like hell, forget bedding in. Dirty buggers too. Great pedal feel, heat up quickly. Braided lines ramain to be installed.

Below some pics (sorry blackberry joby). Looks real neat and has changed the back end in all the right way and not OTT. Notice the pipe surrounds are painted body colour and not matt black as is usually the case. It makes the CF diffuser look much more integrated. NOt sure whether it actually created more downforce, but the TC light does come on less travelling at speed on bumpy roads, although thats more probably me (dare I say) driving better.

Backboxes sound good. The exhaust note is bassier and you hear the valves off throttle far less. Some nice descreet pops too (not often). It just turns the volume up, a little, is not boomy on motorway or any other speed. Sounds far less metalic than it use to. Next has to be some induction noise!

Now the bad bloody news is that I got absolutely harmmered by a serious golf ball size hailn storm on my way back from the vineyards to Bordeaux. :x  So many little bumps I don't dare look. Back in the garage then for the following:

Brake cooling duct front left (245 kph insident posted)
Rear bumper holding pastic bits
Sort out screw or rear diffusier (se pic on underneath the car)
de-bloody pummeling due to hail
Cigarette lighter not working (ashtray to donate someone?)
Goodridge braided lines install + liquid
Lighten up engine exit exhaust manifold

I really quite like the diffuser, it's nice and discreet.

Not sure on the exhausts, they look a little "heavy" from the rear and from above and the side, I don't like how they stick out so much, looks like they need to follow the profile of the bumper more.

I hate brake dust... better get cleaning those wheels more often :poke:

I wouldn't use Pagid yellows any time soon then... Literally two seconds after cleaning the wheels they're caked again.

yup same with the blues, sometimes its that bad, my red calipers look grey .................

awesome pad though.... blues are all the pad ill ever need i think, the yellows which are even more performance related must be incredible.

Diffuser - ok.
Exhaust - WTF!

The ordinary Remus is alot nicer and i would imagine cheaper!

didnt think i would like the quad to duplex conversion but i think it looks awesome... especially with that carbon diffuser...

I was not sure either until I actually saw one in Frankfurt (the same colour) and it was just the business. I'll take some better pics once I've cleaned it and sorted the rest. It does look real good in the metal. Make the whole car look lower set. Needs some decent side skirts, lowered suspension and decent forged wheels to comlete the look.

Dude the exhaust looks terrible, looks completely wrong on the car, diffuser is nice though.

Screw you all love that exhaust :x :fuelfire: :poke:

I've seen the diffuser with the standard one and it looked weird. HOnestly, I'll post some better oics and only then will accept criticism. :P

Sounds great too.

chawenhalo, from time to time they seem to be a tuff crowd on here :o ,when all said and done it's your car and if you like it that's all that matters imo :) i'm liking the carbon

that's why I like this forum, you can say what you you really think. Would not be as much fun if we could not abuse one an other (stubbies vs whips; coupes vs prams, SC vs NA etc etc.) love it.

honestly I was dubious about it until I saw it in the metal. It finishes off the rear end much better. However it means that I have to do a few more things to finish the look (which was in the planning)
-side skirts
-front splitter
-Forged wheels
-suspension
-better driving skills (thats number 1)

but first of firsts is to get the car de-peppered (got a battering with golf b all sized hail in BOrdeaux) more about that later.

:( That doesnt sound good....

What does sound good is your to-buy list though! What wheels are you looking to buy? I've been partial to the Forgestar F14's myself lately. http://www.zpost.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7047962&postcount=4 they're light, they look good and are relatively cheap for forged wheels.
