We know that BMW have subsequently changed the M service schedules (i.e. valve clearances no longer checked in Inp I).
This is not correct, it was discussed on here and was a mess up in their website iirc.

BMW offered goodwill for E46 subframe failures (a common fault) for cars up to 10 years old.....is 10 years the magical threshold?
Full bmw service history is not required for this goodwill(it's billed to bmw at around £4.5k), just full service history to manufacturer specification, see m3cutters for many examples of this.
Personally I would go to an indy as I don't really trust my local bmw garage. Certainly having a decent indy stamp would be no deterrent for me buying a car like this, if anything it would be preferable.
