Inspection II Coolant & Brake Fluid Price

Hi All,

Been reading through the forum but not completely clear. My local BMW franchise (Dick Lovett, Bristol) charge £388.99 for an inspection II. I would rather go to an indie but I understand my approved used car warranty requires BMW servicing? They also list coolant £132.99 and brake fluid £81.99. Can I assume it will need all three or are the coolant and brakes included in the Inspection II price? Can I take my own coolant and brake fluid and if so, how much will that cost?

Thanks in advance!

I have always taken my own oil, cheaper from opie oils or the like. Coolant depandant on age of car. Some were every two years then around 04 it became lifetime but they do check it in a little microscope type thing for a reading. Brake fluid is minimum every two years regardless of use as it degrades over time the same as oil.

tbh,my nearest bmw indy was going to be just £55 cheaper, and is 35mins further away..so not much point for me/mine was £360,plus as mentione, brake fluid;every 2yrs regardless

Pre-facelift cars require coolant change every 4 years. Facelift cars do not need coolant change at all. Prices for coolant/brake fluid change are reasonable as you expect from dealers. The costs are mainly labour. I don't think the Inspection II price includes coolant/brake fluid change.

Phone your next 2 nearest dealers and haggle, mine wanted £370 for inspection1 but found another dealer that would do it for £199 (sure they got the price wrong), but my dealer matched it.

I have an 05 plate 'Pre Facelift' and had an Inspection II a month ago. Definatly no coolant change required. I chacked and douuble checked with then. Brake Fluid is on top of Inspection II.
