Servicing can be expensive and M owners especially dread the words 'Inspection 2'

But if you have a Bugatti Veyron the servicing costs are crazy even compared to other supercars.
First service £13k then they get more expensive :o
Tyres are £6,000 each :( and you need to change them every 2,500 miles :o and you need to change the wheels every 7,500 miles that's another £29,500  If you want an extended warranty that's £63,000 for two years :headbang:

That really is a supercar for the super rich!

That's more rocket ship than car though. I wonder what happens to the wheels? Do they warp at 250 mph? Makes an M seem like a beater. :)

I bet an RS6 with some engine/brakes/suspension work is getting close for all-round performance on the roads... for, errr, 10x less money all round :D

Someone has been reading EVO then lol. Interesting article, I always wondered what the costs of running a supercar were like, it's all well and good buying a Ferrari if you come in to some money, but the real work is running it!

Actually if u think about it, the cost of servicing is about 0.1% of the car cost and we pay roughly 1%. So actually if u can afford to own bugatii then its much cheaper to service.

The wheels (for some stupid reason) are metric - i.e. not only must the tyres be of a higher rating, they are a stupid size which I think is partly the cost.

The cost of the wheels (and that they need to be replaced so often) and servcing just takes the p*ss.

One thing that does make you think though - the Ferrari F40 needs its fuel tank changed every so often (I think 10 years, could be more) - it essentially requires the whole car to be taken apart... ouch.
