Inspection 2 mileage

Like Andy, IIRC my Inspection 2 was around 43K - Went back on 50K showing approx 5K till next oil service.
 
Andy ... I see your point, owning yours from day one you know how it's been driven. I've only owned mine for 6 months so maybe it was driven by a granny for the first 3 years :|

That doesn't sound right. Inspection 1 is usually around 22-26k, yet you don't think yours is due until 47k!

Hmmm... perhaps you're right! I'll check my service book when I get home!
 
D'oh! The oil service that was performed when I bought the car last September was post the inspection one service, not pre, so my inspection two will be at 48K miles!
 
I've got a feeling my insp2 was at around 49k.... actually, maybe later, since my oil service is about 2000 miles off on the counter, and i've just clicked past 60k.

Saying that though, it's been doing a lot of long journeys lately and not much in the way of town/track/hooning since the last service. Should fix that after Wales... :D

Just flicking through my service book - my Oil 1 was at 9k...

Although the intervals are supposedly 15k, I've seen a lot of E46 M3s and Z4Ms now and 10-12k seems to be far more usual....putting Insp 2 at 41.2k - 47.2k if you go from the 1200 mile service. Not to mention a lot of them get done a lot sooner by diligent owners, by dealers prior to a sale or on cars that have set for long periods.....basically I think yours sounds fairly average to me, no worries there! I'm on 33k with Insp 2 due in 14k according to the dash, so as it drops faster than you expect, I'm guessing 44-45k ish.
