Inspection 2 costs

Hi Guys,

Passed the MOT with flying colours just now, but checked out the inspection 2 costs and BMW Oxford Wolvercote = £965.

They need the car the night before to work on the gaskets cold apparently, so I asked for a car to use for work...she said that's another £25! Bit cheeky when I am about to spend roughly £1000 with them and might even be tempted to get a "normal" BMW as a company car one day  :|

Anyone else had Inspection 2 done? or quotes to compare? Mine isn't due till April...

How old is the car? If it's more than 4 years old then you qualify for the Four Plus discount scheme which should save you a few quid - unless they claim the discount is already included (check by calling anonymously for a quote on a 2 year old Z4M).

Doesn't seem to have any info on the website for this:

Six hundred or thereabouts for both Insp II and removal of a dent. Included changing gearbox and diff oil, which I believe are not usually a part of this service. However, mine was an indy BMW specialist in Buckinghamshire, not a stealer. Excellent service from an extremely knowledgeable chap. In fact, I use him for my 320d, and my father for his Z3. I'd recommend them if you are not adamant about getting the 'correct' stamp!

Ask for andy Simpson to work on your car - a real car nut and there's nothing he doesn't know about the z4m. He has cared for, serviced, fixed mine for over 12months. Top bloke. Personal service i wouldn't go anywhere else.

Inspection 2 is fast approaching for my car. My research on the forum has revealed £800 or around that is a good price to aim for and is do-able(dealer).
