I have had email with picture showing work being down and updates. I emailed a couple of questions after the picture and update, asking about Vanos etc and he replied back at about 22:00 answering my questions. I have never had that before from anyone providing a service!
Due to pick it up again mid next week, but so far, I am very please. I stayed with the standard Castrol M oil, although they do offer a Redline alternative (10-60), stayed with standard brake fluid, but did go for a coolant additive to help the system efficiency. Diff & gearbox are already upgraded fluids over standard due to the notchy box, but can't remember which fluids.

I still have 1500 miles to go, but am keen to get it in sooner. The indy certainly appeals for replacement dif oil and possibly high temp brake fluid. All the usual motivations such as more personal service from skilled mechanics also apply. The local indy has quoted £772 but the main dealer (Vines Redhill) are only £65 more and I understand future buyer's reservations about non-main dealer stamps. Still torn!

I had my last service done by a main dealer and my car had FBMWSH up until now, but I personally feel more confident the car is being looked after better now than it would be with if at a main dealer having an inspection 2 done.
Personally, it's my car, not the next persons and if they think that I have taken it to an Indy to try and save money, then fine they can, but at the end of the day, my bill at the Indy will be similar to a main dealer service cost, but I am getting more done (preventative maintenance), and I believe to a higher standard. Any serious buyers should understand this, and if people genuinely see a FBMWSH (vs a reputable Indy) as additional value, then they are fools really!
