inspection 1

Has anyone had one recently?

My car is due for its first inspection 1 soon, rang my local dealer and they want £344.37 which doesnt seem too bad considering it includes a courtesy car, and i can get a nice coffee and service with a smile!

However i can go to an indy and get it done for just under half that price... but with no courtesy car, or pretty lady to greet me!

My car currently has the extended warranty... which i probably wont renew in a few months.

So should i stick with BMW or go with the indy?

Horses for courses Aquazi. Is the indy a specialist BMW place? You looking in London or Derby too?

I paid £200 but supplied my own oil for Inspection 1. Service was great just what i expected for the money and they gave me a car for the day.

I priced up Derby, but London would be more convenient as there are more dealers near me there. But the indy is a BMW specialist - i got them to reprogram my car last year and were very professional.

thats is much cheaper then mine... considering I could get the oil from Costco or Asda for £70. Sadly i asked my Stratstone if i could provide my own oil and was told i cant. :x

My local indy does a fantastic job for much less than that.I sit in their waiting room doing some work on my laptop then it's finished in no time.I paid £ 350 for an Insp2 which involved some My indy is Autobarn in Northampton.

My local Indy is less than half that and they give you a car for the day! (is a KIA piccanto though!)

The indy I use Burton Motor Workshop (which is an acronym BMW!) quoted £225 all inc - or £150 if i provide my own oil... and all the chaps claim to be ex-bmw!

Booked it with the indy now... the £150 odd i save will come in handy for for some new alloys!

Do it yourself dude (assuming you're not worried about dealer stamps). Really easy and you can reset the service clock using the key.

I would want the stamps in my book.. especially as it only has the one so far :|

I paid £199 from my main dealer for Inspection one (they supplied the oil). They price matched the next closest dealer which I quoted £199 which should have been for the 4 pot I think.
