They did mention your car and I knew which one it was immediately 8)
Which loaner did you get?
I know its a fair journey, but was worth it for me as i saved £300 net of fuel and train tickets plus got the service done by a well respected garage...tjlazer said:Jeez just looked up where Murketts is...that's a big trip for a car service!
Vines of Guildford seem to get good press worth talking to themmonkeyfacedboy said:Hi, I've been lurking on here for a while, not felt the need to post until now.
I've had by Z4MR since sept 09, and the Inspection 1 service is now due, as i have extended warranty, I assume I have to use an authorised BMW dealer so as not to invalidate the warranty.
I have just had quote form Cooper Banstead, initially for £885 inc VAT, which was then reduced to £777 inc VAT. This seems excessive, especially when I asked how long they needed the car for and they said "about 4 hours".
I was under the impression that the inspection 1 included checking the valve clearances which normally meant that they needed the car for two days, as the engine needs to cold for the checks.
Does anyone know of any other BMW dealers in the Surrey area that are likely to offer a better price, and more importantly likely to do proper job of the valve clearances.
Thanks
