Insp II costs / Main Dealer Discount

Its that time when my ///M is almost going to be due its Insp II.

I will be taking it to the dealer - so its a matter of getting the best price and then hoping my local will price match.

What have you guys been paying recently for this? Of course I will need to ensure the full job gets done properly - with the value clearances / any possibl shim replacements get done etc etc

Maindealer discount actually came up with some local'ish (not Blackpool!) to London/Berkshire dealers!

When I was looking a month or so ago, the MDD website was coming in at around £899 for full Insp2 and Brake Fluid service. Ended up going to a great indy clled ETA Motorsport in West Kingdown, about half hour from me in Blackheath and getting the lot done for about £650. Remember to ask for the existing valve measurements to be logged down for your records (I forgot!).
 
Also try getting a quote from AMC Wimbledon as they're near you too on Garret Lane.

and good advise on the before/after = existing valve measurements to be logged down tip!!
 
Also, are you a member of the BMW car club? If you want to get it serviced at a main dealer, the 10% servicing discount you'll get as a result (on top of the standard discount) of paying a £45 annual membership will mean you get your £45 back and them some, so very worth it plus there are other benefits of being a member. I've just joined so can't comment on those yet,

It's wonderful in theory, but the dealers always claim that they've already included it in their price (which is a load of tosh), so if the dealers are going to take the proverbial, then I might as well screw them out of the extra £400 they'd like to charge just because the car is 1 year younger than another!

I'll find out when I get my car serviced in December a swell then I suppose, see if it was worth it!
