Inside the BMW Z4 factory

Yet another video I've never seen before.
Had the opportunity quite some years ago to visit the Spartanburg plant with my first Z4 during one of the ZFest homecoming events. Pretty impressive to see!

Amazes me even 22 years ago the level of assistance and robotic involvement there was in car factories.

Suggested to me off the back of that, Z4 promo video from 2003 shot in Lanzarote. Looks way more fun than careening round some of those roads in a rental Seat.

Was lucky enough to go out there with work in 2023. It is a massive site with a lot of cool tech, cars and people. Some cool Z in the Zentrum/Museum. Was able to go to a heritage BMW M event at the BMW M performance centre opposite the factory. Now its home to the production’s lines for X3,4,5,6,7 and XM and other X M variants. Believe plant Spartanburg is BMW biggest producer of cars in the BMW Group.

Great post & pics! I'd love to have that mint Alpina Roadster! We tried to take delivery of our '22 X5 at the performance center, unfortunately at the time they had suspended that option.... some nonsense about Covid.
