inside boot handle???

ok so when i open my boot i tried to find a handle inside to pull boot down so i dont have to get my hands wet and dirty from pushing down the top of the boot lid..... turns out mine has no handle ?? (will try get pics later) i think ive read on here other people have had a similar problem, either handle wasn't fitted (cant see why??) or its broken or been removed? has anybody got pics of this or know a part number etc as would like to try and sort it out :headbang:

I know mine (2004 E85) hasn't anything like that or I've never seen it. Use my elbow if its really wet or my hands are full of shopping.
 
theres 2 hollow sections where i would expect there to be somekind of trim and would be perfect place for a handle... but i cant find the thread i saw about other people talking about the boot lid handle ? :/

maybe im just being too fussy and i should just close it normally with my hand lol
 
hmm so there definitely is an option for a handle, when boot is open u see 2 hollow sections, 1 left and 1 on the right, so your handle is in the left section.... do u have the hollow section on the right then or another piece of plastic trim to cover and even out to match the handle side?

will check after work... maybe i have just been stooopid and completely overlooked it when i had a quick look (was raining so wanted to use a handle... had a quick look, was getting wet so used hand and ran indoors haha)

Amazing what you learn from this forum! yes there is a recess on mine to use to pull the lid down.
Only had the car for 2 years!

haha well this gives me some comfort to know im not the only blind forum member :poke:
 
ok so just went outside to check... and as originally thought, i have no handle :( i was hoping i just overlooked it but afraid not, looks like i will have to try and source 1 online :thumbsdown:

I blame it on old age! There's probably something in the instruction manual but who reads them, only when you have a problem.
 
OK maybe you don't.... it wont let me private message you, says user does not exist???
