Fantastic run up the Corran with the guys this morning!
Thanks for organising Peter, enjoy the rest of the trip! :)
And try not to laugh too much at the PBondar thread!
Absolute nightmare for us getting home today, got home after 10pm, was meant to be out for dinner at 7pm!
Shame as it had been a cracking day.
The A82 was indeed closed at Luss and we had to turn around after making really good time on quiet roads which was surprising.
Went back to Arrochar and tried to go along the lochside road to either the military road or through Helensburgh,. This turned out to be a bad move as well and after hours waiting heard there was also an accident on this road and were going nowhere, abandoned that idea and u turned again this time deciding to head for Dunoon (after hearing from Scubaregs that they were sent back to Crianlarich) and get the ferry to Gourock. First ferry was full and had to wait on the next one.

Horrendous! Seems loads of folk we know got caught in the chaos!

What a nightmare. If it's any consolation the roads were pretty empty once we got off the Corran ferry with a good run over to Mull :driving:

I thought of Dunoon and the ferry, but reasoned many others might and it might be busy so we went back up to Crianlarich and across to Calendar, plan being to head to Balloch, however Waze rerouted us on a B road for 6 miles, then A road to Stirling and motorway home. We got back about half eight, so looks like it was the correct decision.

What I didn't understand was that all the way up the lochside, there was still traffic coming down, police should have been at Crianlarich bypass telling people road was closed at Luss.

Apologies if any pictures I post here are other members who attended as all the ones circulated within the group have all gone into the one folder. The only one I know for definite is the Highland Coo and that’s Alienzeds

It was an absolutely fantastic weekend, got the weather and made good progress after we all eventually managed to get to the Corran ferry.

It was lovely to meet the group who until now we had not met in person. A great group of people, very friendly, and they made a point of making us feel very welcome. Well organised and pretty well went without a hitch. We’re looking forward to many more

Great photos Andy, good mixture of cars and nice to see a couple of G29's

The weather played nice so photo opportunities were good. There were two G29’s but due to my lateness because of the traffic on this side they were together for about 2 minutes and I never even got time to get out of mine to look at Scubaregs

Yup very nice photos.
So out of 6 cars in shot, two of them were actually a colour. :poke: :D
(It must be some kind of 'golden ratio' as of the three on my drive, only 1 is a colour.)

Superb photos. Some nice looking aircraft there too. What was the airfield you visited ?

Thank you, the hotel we were staying in, The Glenforsa, has its own airstrip running in front of the hotel

I got a quick look at yours though, thought mine was a nice cabin but yours was rather nice.

Only fair to give you, and Nictrix, the curtain call photo before your 18 hr journey home :poke:

It probably wasn’t very tidy tbh  but yes it’s a very nice place to be. We can compare them next time, which hopefully won’t be too far away
