E89 inner brake light not working
Hi all,
I’ve got a 2010 Z4 sDrive 23i and I’m getting a brake light warning on the dash. The inner left-hand brake light (shown in the photo) isn’t working, while the other rear lights appear to be fine.
I’ve tried to work out exactly which bulb I need, but I’m finding conflicting information. From what I can see, the inner brake light should be a W16W 16W bulb, but I’ve also come across information suggesting that the whole light unit may need replacing, which seems excessive for a single brake light.
Has anyone had this issue before? Is it simply a case of replacing the W16W bulb, or is there something else I should check first, such as the bulb holder, contacts or wiring?
Any advice on the correct bulb/part number and how to access it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
