Hiya Ink$,

I've sent you an email of a Z I'd've been all over a few months ago, one owner, 66K, unrestored, I can't post the link on here unfortunately. :driving:

Been a while since I posted about the 240Z but now we can add pics via the forum thiought I'd pop a few on :driving:

I've removed the slot wheels and put on the OEM steel wheels with New Bridgestone Tyres, they came with Bridgestone as standard so I thought I'd best put another set on, the spare wheel still has the 1972 original on, I'll not use it but it's nice for prosperity, I've restored the OEM Steel wheel trims and I really like it how it would have been in '72, I got invited to display it at The Classic Car Show at the NEC in November and it drew a fair amount of interest, I was going to have it repainted this March ready for the Le Mans Classic but decided to run it this year and then have a full engine out repaint over Winter.

I've bought it home for the summer and put the ///M in storage, tucked up all nice and warm, I was thinking of selling it but it's not doing any harm where it is so I'm keeping it.

Here are a few pics

Thanks Rob

I get a thumbs up every time I go out in it, people hanging back then overtaking with their phones out, back seat passengers turning around and then saying 'Datsun' :D

I had a guy on a motorbike the other day catch me up at a roundabout, knock on my window and give me   lol I don't think people my age have seen one for years and the younger generation have never seen one, even my 18yr old takes pics and sends them to his friends, he's normally to cool for school :D

Looking good Darren. Thought it had had a repsray, or are you after a colour change?

Can't believe this car is a year older than me

Which of you is in the better Nick Steve! :D

It had a full restoration in 2011/12 Steve but the paint looks 'fizzy' in places, it's not been painted up to UK restoration standards, I'm keeping it Orange, also they didn't paint the engine bay even though they removed and rebuilt the engine, I've cleaned it up pretty well but if I'm having the outside done again then it would be a shame not to do the engine bay to the same standard

Is'nt it a peach though, sounds great too.

Russ you can have a nip out in it anytime :driving:

Thanks for the kind words guys, Russ and John have both seen it and we're very complementary, much appreciated

Steve I hope we get to meet up at some point and you can have a blast too, be prepared to go back in time because the 240's six cylinder in very different to the ///M's :D :driving:

Enjoy it. :D

Thanks Lee I will, think I'll go for a Japenese Tune up later! :D :driving: it likes to be revved although there's not as much 'whoosh' as I remember from 30 years ago, 150BHP was quite good then :D
