After the new carb set up :poke:

No rush really Steve, I go on holiday 16th July and its a big birthday 30th July, not 21 btw either :D I'd like to be able to take it for a drive on my birthday

Ps I can take it on the road now, but it's dead lumpy, when the engine was rebuilt they just got it running, didn't tune it, it's too rich atm I'd sooner it be running spot on :driving:

within the month then. you must be dying to get behind the wheel :driving:

Sure am, I want to get stuck into giving it a proper detail too, changing little things , new wooden gear knob, brake and clutch cylinder tops, proper braided hoses etc, I've got bits and bobs arriving weekly

This thread is killing me!!! Feeling your pain D. Everything needs to be perfect.

It does for me Ink$ :D :driving: it's 95% there, over $16K in parts receipts so loads of new parts, but some were generic, not OEM so they need changing

Food for thought D  granted a rarer car but indicates where the market sees such classic jap sports cars  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3153725/The-million-dollar-Toyota-Rare-1967-sports-car-famous-007-classic-set-fetch-huge-sum-auction-California.html

Thanks Andy  I read a similar article the other week, saying the Toyota was now a $1m car and out of reach, that the Z432, a 240Z with a 2.0 Skyline Engine in it, 4 Valves, 3 Carbs and 2 Camshafts, albeit rare too will fetch $200K + so people are looking at 240Z's, as the stock of good ones are drying up, for the next price hike, the article finished by saying ' buy one now as this Bullet Train is already leaving the station as we speak' :driving: all good signs and I think with this one it's worth getting it right, by that I mean all the detail bits, proper engine hoses, braided most of them, OEM master cylinder caps, correctly anodised components, bonnet stay, door strike plates etc, I've just bought a new OEM Wooden Gear knob from the states along with Rubber Gromits, courtesy light switches, bumper rubbers etc, the ones that were on we're all serviceable, I'll keep them obviously, but I want to work through it bit by bit, it's 95% there, needs to be 100% though :D
