Info Wanted on Springs

Hi all, recently had the LR spring snap at 36,000 miles.

Im aware that it is a common problem and I have read various threads about it but im still a bit unsure which route to take.

I believe they are easy to change DIY so I was going to have a crack at changing both rears this weekend. Im just wondering which springs to buy... OEM? Eibachs? which seem to be a favourable choice. Then ive had a small thought of maybe lowering the car slightly but I would only want to lower it slightly nothing stupid.

So basically I could do with some info on which springs to go for and where is the cheapest place to get them from. Im mainly considering standard springs but could be tempted into the lowering option.

Nothing-she was in for an oil change,they told me the bad news then told me not to worry,they had contacted Head Office who agreed to do it as a goodwill gesture because of the low mileage. :)

Oh right, well thats good to know, I could always give it a shot.
 
if I was going to lower mine id always use Eiback Springs, had the Sportline Kit on my old E46 Coupe and then the Pro Kit on my Audi S3. Usualy get them for around £150 on ebay. Excellent build and ride quality.
 
Just replaced mine on my 3.0si coupe with Eibachs. Got them from eBay for £170.

The ones I took off only have 9500 miles on them so are in great condition! Got them up for sale if your interested...

Ive decided to replace with standard springs, can anybody tell me which are the ones to go for and where is the best place to buy?
