Hi guys and gals, I was wondering if anyone knows if a window regulator off a 2006 Z4 will fit and work on my 2004. Mine broke a few weeks back and I have found one on ebay. Didn’t know if it changed pre to post faced lift???

I think you should be OK with a 2006 unit. I replaced mine last year (2003 car) with one sourced from a breaker - the motor had a different electrical connector but I just used the original motor.

Thanks or the reply steve. Wondering how hard it is to do myself, or should i get the garage to do it 8) Bering in mind I have no tools and rate my DIY skills 2/5 lol

Thanks for the link cj10jeeper been looking on there but cant seem to find the part I am after. Reading some other posts and what Steve said above I think it will work but the motor is different, so I will have to use the one already their. :? but i am not that confident in doing it myself

Then I do suggest passing to a mechanic as although I describe tasks as 'easy' I have a well equipped workshop, and 30 years of project and car experience. You need torx drivers to remove the door trim. Possibly need to disconnect the battery to take the airbag off (unless you get access without) and have to fathom out from the TIS manual what to remove, refit, and adjust, etc. I'm sure it's easy if you have the time and read up, but you could end up witha car off the road for a day or so until you get it all sorted. Very much your call

Again thanks for the help. I like the idea of the saving I would make but think is a step to far for me at the min. Off to BM care for me I think they quoted around £205. :(
