Have any off you had any experience with inflatable jacks? they sound a great idea...a bag that will fit under your car no matter how little ground clearance and lift the car with no harsh sharp edges and cant fall over............
I've seen some that work off the exhaust gas that can be used to change a wheel on soft or uneven ground. I know the emergency services use monster ones to lift cars off people but I wouldn't fancy working under a car that's sat on top of a little bouncy castle
the ones ive seen have a built in commpressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter, and id rather be under a bouncy castle than anything that can tip over.
some crooks used some to lift my dad's 7 series up to nick his wheels- apparently because it is so controlled and the whole car can be lifted at once(4 bags off one compressor) much less chance of setting the car alarm off (which it didnt). B@st@*ds!
I Had one about 20 years ago that worked off the exhaust it was brilliant, it would have the car 3 foot high in about 20 seconds. Not really practical for carrying around in the boot though especially Z4 boot.
will the exhaust fill ones have any effect on the engine due to build up of pressure in the exhaust system and what happens if you've got a multi tipped exhaust system like an ///M??

Yes it will have a slight effect I'd imagine but it's not like you are driving around with it connected ...it's only for less than a minute, If you've a twin exhaust you'd have to block one hole off !
