Indy in the North West

I'm considering changing my Indy and looking for a good recommendation in the North West - I'm in Preston and prepared to drive up to half an hour to find the right garage. The last time mine was in for a service I wasn't completely happy, so I'm looking for a new independent garage that will really look after my P&J.

The chap I use is ex BMW master tech now with own business operating from premises in Grt Harwood , real BMW enthusiast who know's them inside out , never invents work & never overcharges imo
His only flaw is he's too busy to answer the phone

Have you got the postcode so I can see how far he is, cheers

I've been using Blackpool Motor Works in Lytham for the last couple of years without any issues - although I've not needed anything other than basic servicing in that time. All are ex BMW techs, so know their stuff. They are able to do MOTs, 4 wheel alignment, tyres etc, so are pretty comprehensive.

Who were you using Marlon? Only asking as i was thinking of taking mine to Deepdale Motor near the Garrison, when it's time, as I believe they are supposed to be ex BMW mechanics.

It wasn't Deepdale Motor if that's what you are worried about
Thats very close to me actually, have they been recommended to you?

Afraid not, just a place I've noticed since I got the Zed.

Hi guys I pass the one at Deepdale every day
I see a lot of bmw ,s 3 / 5 series. A z3 m.
The z3 coupe , m6 etc .
Seems very popular.

Darren wood in mcr is goid but a trek, if the local one in Preston gets good reviews give them a whirl and post back.
I need reverse sensors doing and Preston is closer so let us know if you use them!

+1 for Darren Wood my mate takes his 8 in there. Not cheap but solid quality work. SK6 2QB Stockport.

I thoroughly Reccomend Mark at German Motor Works in Radcliffe near Bolton. 20 odd years with BMW the guy is spot on. Seen him strip a car completleyu down to the shell in the same time it would take me to change 4 tyres! Seen him rewire a burn out x5 and started first time and all worked. Hes worked on my BMW's over the years and hes always thorough and well priced.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm going to try Blackpool Motors in Lytham - its about the same distance as my current Indy and I like what I'm hearing. If things go smoothly I won't be using them until next summer when I'll have my annual oil change.
