Indy in SW London or nearby

Anyone able to recommend a decent indy garage in SW London or at least not too far?

Got a couple of minor jobs need doing.

AMC Wimbledon (Earlsfield Road) used to be pretty good.

I used AMC once, not a fan of their impersonal approach but probably suits most motorists. (the disconnect between the guys working on your car and the reception blokes wearing ties).

Professional, but i won't go there again.

CPC PE has my business now i think - out near Amersham. Leagues ahead in terms of BMW knowledge, personable and helpful too. Says a lot if i'm willing to drive from Wandsworth to Amersham for car servicing...

Thanks all. I have actually used CPCPE, and whilst I agree they are very good, they seemed glacially slow, and although I was happy to use them again, I have rung four times now, left a message with a human being every time, and they haven't bothered to ring back, so looking elsewhere.

lol Glacially slow. love it.

I did chase them a bit for my works, later found out it's best to speak to them early in the AM and they're much more responsive. They seem to be caught up finishing works for customers towards the end of the day. It's a small garage, personally i'd prefer quality works and top end knowledge backed by experience, if the price is having to chase them, rather than the opposite.

I wouldn't trust anyone else with my car - I also drive from SW London to Amersham (although it helps that my parents live in a field not too far from there). Often Phil picks up his kids in the mid afternoon, so before 0800h is the best time to call if you want him in particular.

I used AMC once too, but only because my car was stuck in limp mode and 40 miles at 20mph wasn't a realistic proposition. I wouldn't go there again as they were expensive and (as said) totally impersonal.

They can be as good as they like but if you can't actually speak to them it's not worth a lot.
