Hi guys,

Ive bought a Z4 now and all being well with it will be driving away in it on Saturday! Its the one I originally wanted but quitre far away but he met me in the middle on price :driving:

However - I have my first problem already! My older brothers and partner are encouraging me to get an induction kit and as a present they will buy it for me so who am I to complain?

But - K&N apparently dont do one for the 3.0??? :|

Can anyone give any advice on what one to get?

Also while Im at it, an exhaust!! Any one have any favourites etc? I love the Eisenmann quad exhaust which Ive already seen someone on here have and it sounds beautiful, but £1385.00 is a bit out of the price range shall we say??

PS - Will post pictures and sort that bit out once Ive got it at the weekend and it looks all shiney :D

Forget an induction kit, waste of money for what you'll achieve as well as negative performance. Only ones worth getting are around £350 and can't remember the name now, Afe I think it's called, if you can afford that or the Gruppe M go for it :)

Remus exhaust is around £650, probably cheapest apart from going custom like Longlife or similar.
Just do the Sound Gen mod, free and will do what you want by the sounds of it. Search on the forum for it. Any other engine type mods cost ££££ on these ;)

I wouldnt bother with an CAI, sound gen mod makes it louder inside if thats what you are after.

Better off with just a nice exhaust.

Where you based? A few of us have had our quads done in the midlands.

Out of interest who did your quad upgrade and what was the cost? Love the look of it and tempted to get it done on mine at some point.

Got mine here:

Think cost inc vat was £840. But i know there have been a few discrepancies with prices here. I got some skid plates there too.

Sound generator is an easy 5 minute job to get more noise. You'll only hear the noise inside the cabin though.

Induction kits have been debated a few time on here. Unless you go for a sealed cold air induction you're gonna loose some power.

If its just noise you're after, a universal fit cone could do the trick. But be prepared to have some power lost due to heat getting drawn in

Thanks guys - I might try the free trick to do and see what happens!

Hopefully I can get the car on Saturday if all good (have to drive ALL the way up North to get it)

Then will post pictures! :)

PS - OOh Goldsworth thats where Im from - half an hour from me!

Lukemace has a huge induction kit on his 3.0i.

I've had all the foam removed from my sound generator and it's loud inside on full throttle (not too bad with the roof down).

Yes it can't be heard outside, but can if you put your windows down  as has been proven by myself when people turn around to see whats coming up the road

Longlife do quads and one near you. Just go on their site. I might be visiting their Stevenage branch soon :D

Update - Ive done the sound generator mod and it sounds awesome! :P :P Only removed 1x piece of foam but I do still want it to be louder so I can hear and for everyone else too!

Exhaust next on the list I think... 8)

What do you guys think of detailing? Theres a guy that does it not too far from me for £250.00 for days work inc roof etc?

STILL havent put pictures up but I will do very shortly.
I can see me loving my car for a very long time

Detailing - depends if he is insured, what you get for £250 and if you can see he previous work
