hi. i have a 2004 2.2, and was considering installing a K&N induction kit, part number 57-0558. Has any body got any experience with this? does it make a difference? could it damage the car? thanks

i got it delivered today, so i will fit it tonight. no body posted any comments yets, so i will let you know if it works

Please do I am considering air intake refit as well. What made you decide to use that particular brand? Is it complicated to put on? will you please post some pics?

hi, i installed it this week, but the car broke down and i had to get the coils changed. it is is still under warranty, so i removed the induction kit in case it would void the warranty. I still have a lot of warrantly left, so i am not planning to fit it back in the near future. so i am considering puting it on ebay

the instalation was very easy, and the instructions are very clear, you can check it here:

The only problem with these kits is you loose a bit of power because you've lost the ramair and you draw hot air from the engine bay instead of cold (and therefore denser) air from behind the grille. They do sound good though but don't mistake noise for power!

this one comes with a pipe that you feed through the hole left by the ramair all the way to the front grill. this ways it feed cold air to the filter. But in any case, i agree with you, it is not going to improve power, just the sound.

At last they've made an attempt to feed cooler air to the filter, most kits don't bother. You never know, you might even gain a couple of HP!
