individual steering wheel...

I'm guessing these are very rare? Anyone on here have one? Came across it just browsing really, first saw a horrid maritime version and then this stunner:

Did a search on ebay and saw the brand new maritime ones priced between $1000 and $1500 (madness, but I guess they are also rare) Anyone ever seen one of these come up for sale?

Ive never even seen any on any forum members cars on pictures in here. didn't even know they existed. Lovely looking thing though. I'd love one in mine as I have the piano black interior already.

I've seen pics of the marine one which was horrendous, but this one with the black inserts does look good though

I actually have one of these in my Zed albeit it, it's been carbon fibred so looks different. My Zed is unique all round.....

They're unique to me but I do take your point.

Cheers for your comments regarding the car. It has a few other tweaks including air ride suspension, which is entertaining.

Pictures please of the steering wheel ??
Unique all round ......... See below
Probably more unique not having an M bumper and CSL wheels :poke:

I have one of these, bought it off Polish eBay I think, back in 2008/9. Took a gamble for a couple of hundred quid.
Wasn't so much of a bargain after I bought all the other piano black bits to match though.

:)

Looks very nice but my favourite thing about the m wheel is the soft feel so I won't be swapping for one with extra hard bits

Picture of my wheel, also other parts of my car....all carbon fibre including dash, storage compartment, steering wheel, hoops, wing mirrors, internal door handles, tips on exhaust....plus water, voltage and oil gauges which all illuminate cool white....couple of pics below but taken in the dark with a flash.....let me know what you think...

God that looks good! By the looks of it, its also similar in terms of dimensions/feel to the M Sport wheel?

I think the diameter is the same but the rim is thicker. I put a tape to it as below, 4cm is a bit too thick if you ask me. Wouldn't swap it though, used to it now.

Ok, I'll be the buzzkill - I don't really like the look of the insert on the steering wheel. I don't think it would be very nice having the hard plastic pressing on your hands. But as I've never seen this wheel or driven with it, it's just an opinion based on ignorance.
I do like the gauges in the ashtray though, gives the car that extra 'sporty' touch. Would be even nicer if they were angled a bit - are they easily readable?
What's the module under the handbrake lever?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that isn't a BMW individual steering wheel.

Your car actually looks like one on here a while back. I think his username was Markdesigns? He done loads of carbon fibre bits for his interior and I'm willing to bet that you have his old car.

The wheel in my car doesn't have the insert because it is a 'M' wheel, so feels thick but soft. The gauges are slightly angled and light up white, although I have to say they are a bit bright.

The module under the handbrake controls the air ride suspension, 8 presets or manual with lots of clearance or less than none at all.....cheers for your comments.
