When i purchased my z4 in October last year, the dealer pointed out that the log book stated the colour of the car as "Red" and said the this must be a mistake as the car is black, but it all checked and there had been no colour change on the car, however i received a second log book with the colour now as black! so i have two log books one red one black, the dealer informed me he told the dvlc the car was in fact black.

What should i do here as i presume the first log book "red" is the correct one and i don't want a colour change being logged when one did not happen. I still have both log books.

Don't worry about it. Some others on here have had theirs registered as red and others as black. I doubt it has been recorded as a colour change on the system.

Anybody buying the car will know the colour and you can confirm this as being original by downloading the car spec relating you your vin number.

Ok cheers for that , yeah yeah I thought the "clean" word may get mentioned  on the list.

I've been stopped a couple of times by the police as my 'red' car looks black to them :P

A quick explanation and I'm on my way - although it does put the shits up you when you see the lights flashing in your mirrors and can't remember what speed you were doing shortly before

Where's the 'individual merino leather' on that list. I can only see 'oregon black leather'?

Individual extended would show up like on mine...

Thanks for the extra info, where do you get the spec lists from?
