Morning all,
As i am not able through health, and being totally incompetent, i need some work doing on my Z.
What i want doing is, oil and filter, air filter,gearbox oil change (to see if it makes changes abit smoother) CDV delete, brake fluid flush..
If i have missed something blatantly obvious, that should also be done, please let me know ..
So if anyone can help me out, either personally, or with the name of an indie who can be trusted to do it all properly, i would appreciate it, plus any ideas of how much this will cost..
I live in East Leake, which is between Nottingham and Leicester, so nearer the better.. Thanks for reading.. :thumbsup:

Maybe just a standard Inspection 1 or 2? If you go for a insp. 2 then I think you're only "extra" will be a CDV delete? My insp. 2 from my indie costs around £250. Can't help with who/where as I'm not local! Good luck!
 
That could be done in an hour but two hours labour is reasonable.

I'd supply fluids and parts myself from ECP with 30% off, I use Mann filters as they are OEM. Gearbox oil you will get various answers and the official one is ATF but I chose to use Redline MTL which is for manual transmissions. My understanding is the ATF fluids are thinner so can provide a lighter shift but ultimately a MTF will offer better protection. I've had no problems when cold so sticking with not using ATF. Over the years I believe BMW have used lighter and lighter oils in the transmission, they still work but clearly it's more focused on marketing than longevity.

Inspection will cause you to pay for stuff you don't need (if you are confident) like a whole load of visual checks on other areas.
