Indicators on e85 facelift

Hi guys, I have a question about the two indicator bulbs in the front headlight. I got a warning light to tell me that the bulb was out, however when I opened the back of the headlight I was surprised to see 2 indicator bulbs - the outer one had blown, but the inner one was fine but did not light up, and it doesnt on the other headlight either. Hence I just have a single indicator which doesn't' look right as you can see there is orange in the inner one too. I'm just surprised that both aren't working as the bulbs are fine. Is this normal or is it something I now need to fix!

My US spec 2006 SI illuminates both bulbs when the parking lamps/headlights are on and flashes both lamps when the indicators are engaged regardless of what status the headlights are set to (off, auto, park, on).

Assuming US spec is the same as Euro, that means your sidelights have gone as they should be white bulbs higher up inside the headlight unit itself.
