Indicator light warning?

Hi All,

Newbie advice wanted here!
Picked up an e86 at the weekend after looking for a few months. Whenever the headlights lights are switched on the left indicator stays on. I believe this is to alert you to change a bulb.

Can anyone provide clarity on this? I’m a bit hesitant to start tampering myself and end up with headlight condensation as I have seen on many example.

Cheers,
Sef

I've a very similar situation to the OP. Whenever lights are on, sidelights or headlights, the outer of the two indicators light up - on both sides of the car. All lights work normally, indicators and hazards work correctly, no warning fault lights showing and there are no LED bulbs anywhere. Puzzled...

Mods - should this be moved to the Problem section?

I’ll check again this weekend but can’t see which bulb is out. Don’t really want to guess which bulb might be on the way out/dodgy connection. In this case is there a way to clear the fault and wait until it fails properly?

Thanks in advance
Sef

Unless you want to do the above, no.
