Independent BMW Servicing Norfolk / East Anglia

Hi all,

Soon to be purchasing a BMW Z4 Coupe. It's been on the cards for a while but I'm finally ready to take the plunge! :) I used to have an Audi TT and always went to the TT shop. Just wondering if anyone knew of any good BMW indy garages in Norfolk or East Anglia? I've had a search and not found much in my area.

Cheers,

Tom

Tom, not that near to you, but i cannot recommend them enough is Warne Motors in Bury St Edmunds. Not sure where abouts you are but might be worth checking if you are close to the Suffolk border. Website here to check them out - http://warnemotorsbury.co.uk/

Prices are pretty reasonable and they are happy for you to supply your own oil, filters plugs etc. They gave me a breakdown for inspection 2 a while back

The price quoted of £320 does include all service parts, labour, oil and VAT.

If I detail the individual costs you can decide which parts, if any, you would like to provide;

Oil Filter £7.73
Mobil Oil (Fully Synthetic) 6.5 litres £61.75
Microfilter (carbon) £22.86
Spark plugs X 6 £53.70
Air Filter £16.36
Labour £105

These prices do not include VAT

use these prices to drive down the cost of a service from a main stealer.... my inspection2 in may cost me 329 inc labor oil and vat.... and that was coopers... you have a coopers in norwich try them.. the first one from stratstone was 500.. it pays to haggle.. :)

Avoid Vulcan motors in Norwich, supposedly specialists but they're awful.
Herring and palmer certainly know they're stuff

Hi,

I am also looking for a good independent specialist in the Norwich/Norfolk area. I looked online and Herring and Palmer, Thorpe End Garage and STR came up.

Does anybody know of these garages and what they are like? Would people recommend any of these in particular?

Many thanks :)

+1 for Warne Motors, Bury St Edmunds.

Services and repairs on my cars.

Always pleased with their work and found them good value.

They had a red Lamborghini LP500 in when I was there last!

+1 for Herring & Palmer, i used to use them some years back when I had an old 325 tourer and plan to go back there with the Z as they are still trading.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to call around tomorrow, including the stealers, to see who can offer the best price for an oil service!
