Increasing volume of iPod dock?

I have a cable in the glovebox to connect an iPhone / iPod. I was told by the previous owner that it's a Denison IceLink system.

One issue I'm having is that the output is a lot quieter compared to the FM radio / CD player. You can't override the volume settings on the iPhone once it's connected.

Is there any way of increasing the the volume? If it is a Denison IceLink, it doesn't look like it has a gain control from looking at photos online.

I don't really want to go down the route of an uprated amp / speakers unless I have to...

On my Dice Mediabridge, I sometimes have volume issues. I can't comment specifically on your issues, but here are some suggestions that work for me.

Update your Denison firmware version to the latest one (via their website).

Make sure the volume for music is turned all the way up on the phone before you connect it.

Try activating the "sound check" function within Settings > Music on the IPhone. That will try to make all the music play at approximately the same volume.

Try the EQ settings within the IPhone

Make sure "volume limit" is off or turned all the way up on the Iphone under settings > music.

Try turning off the car, disconnecting the phone, starting the car, and reconnecting the phone.

With my MB unit, the volume of the phone, bass, and treble cannot be adjusted from the car radio, without switching to a different input (like Aux, Tuner, etc.). There's also no gain on my MB unit.

Send an email to Dension support. I had this issue on my Dension gateway in my mini and they sent me a firmware update that fixed it. Their customer service was excellent.

Lived with it for the last year or so and thought I'd have another look in to it. Tried all the above and fired off an email to Denison support as there's no firmware listed for the Ice Link on their website.

Got the following back:

Unfortunately, it is not possible to modify the volume of the Ice Link Lite.

I'm sure there is a setting for volume on the ice link. I will look through the stuff I have on it tonight.

Have you got all the files like "car if BMW XXXXX" and so on.
