Picking up my Z4 2.0 Sport next week 8) The dealer is offering Inclusive servicing for 2 years @ £440 or Inclusive Plus @ £920. I do 30K miles per year..... is the Plus option a no brainer ???

I have no idea about the servicing, as its late and I cant get my head around the figures.

But I did just want to say, Hi & Welcome

If your doing £30k a year sounds like a no-brainer, as you will probably need an inspection 1 & 2 in that time.

From recollection just an inspection 2 on its own is around £450.

If you can afford to pay it upfront, sounds like a reasonable deal.

If you are going to do 30,000 miles a year in it then it sounds like an easy choice

If you were only doing 10,000 a year then the 20,000 miles you'll do over the period of the inclusive servicing would probably only equate to an oil service or brake fluid service. But with your mileage you're going to have a couple of inspections too.

The Plus option inlcudes brake pads, brake discs, wiper blades & clutch assembly.

A 5 year one is only about £800 BTW (basic) and £1600 (plus) - but only upto 60,000 miles, so no good for you.

Is the car new, or does it have some miles on it, and how far until the next service/inspection?

It's 6 months old with 5K miles from a franchised dealer. The indicator shows 9K until next service is due.

The service pack covers up to 60K so I am working on the basis that services will be required at 14K,29K,43K and 58K + 1or 2 brake pad changes + 1 set of discs (?)

The "plus" package also includes a clutch change, but I suspect this wouldn't be required. Are there any known clutch problems with the Z4 2.0 ??

Id get it m8, quick story from me:-

2 years ago I had a 320d coupe bought from a dealer, one evening whilst reversing into my drive I noted a trail of fluid under car, called out BMW service (man in collar and tie crawling under car) who had a look and said get it to dealer as it was a leaking fuel filter. Booked in next day they rang me at lunch and said all done under warranty then told me my braked where near to replacement I thanked them but declined their offer to sort it then. At this point the lovely lady told me I had service inclusive plus, paid for by previous owner, which I didn't know about when I bought the car so I said carry on.

When to collect at teatime, the car had new brakes, wipers and warranty work done all no charge to me

Only issue was that the car had done 250 miles over the 60,000 but the dealers waived that.

Had I not had the leak I would have missed out, but the package was well worth it.
