In the boot ...

Between boot floor and back wall, two tabs made of boot lining material, secured with Velcro.

What are they for, then?

I assumed it’s to attach bungie cords, to keep bags secure.
I suppose potentially one could move back and disengage the roof thing.

Don't think so, as I just had a look, gave one a little pull and it came away, so is only held in place by the velcro. I am guessing they are to hold something like an umbrella in place to stop it rolling around.

o they are just two velcro tabs?
Looks like it, yes. Probably part of the 'extended storage pack', so would have cost around £50 each when new!

There's nothing about them in my handbook (otherwise I wouldn't have asked).

Does anyone actually know what they're for?

You have been on this forum long enough to realise that no-one really knows anything! :D

But thanks to you, I have now pulled one of mine out of it's slot and have to get it back as the car is now sold! :headbang:

If I’m visualising this correctly, it’s to fasten a removable horizontal ski support for when you’re putting skis through the ski hatch.

They are for the support bars if you use the ski hatch. I only know this as I asked the same question when I saw these in my car. Put umbrella straps in the search section and will see a photo of them been used for what they were designed for……

Has anyone actually put ski's through.
I used it once to buy a broom, but could have waited for a non rainy day and just put roof down.
