In place of cd changer

Anyone fitted one of these, good...bad? My cd changer doesn't work (jammed cd in stacker....not unusual I believe) so proposing to use this in its place. Appears to be 'plug and play' setup.....but things rarely are that simple. Any other suggestions before I start?
Thought about removing the jammed cd changer but it looks as though they put it in the car first and then built the rest of the car around it....

No opinion on that one but I know people on here have bought this one for playing music via Bluetooth67CFF3F3-6910-4859-8801-E02401B42607.jpeg
 
+1 for adding the Bluetooth Audio Interface, done mine and works a treat and cheap option. 10 min job, plug and play.

Hey guys, I really want to order that part. But they only ship in Europe. They are not shipping in Canada. I was not able to reach them otherwise than by amazon ... but again, they are not shipping here from the amazon perspective.

Someone knows if they have a direct website or I could have a similar product here in Canada/US?

Fyi I had the same problem with a jammed cd stacker. A search on this forum suggested a potential solution involving pressing the green release button (hold it down) then a gentle ish tap on the front face of the changer - worked first time. Won't get you Bluetooth but you might be able to retrieve your cd's or simply use it whilst researching those options.
A light spray of a silicone /Teflon type spray on the changer might help it release more easily in future... good luck !

The tap technique worked for me when it stuck a few years ago, I've had no problems after a spray of silicone :thumbsup:

Tried all the dodges, including tapping with progressively larger implements while holding the green button. Nothing worked unfortunately. The car came with the cd jammed in there and the previous owner bought it with it already stuck....and he had it for 5 years, so it's been stuck at least that long. Will try the silicone spray though....thanks.
 
That's a shame, sounds like you and others have tried their best with all sorts of implements, be interesting to what cd's are in the changer though. I think the spray would be used to reduce the chance of it sticking again, if you've not removed it yet that would be difficult. Good luck with choosing and fitting another device. :thumbsup:
 
Had the same issue with my cd changer. Had to take the unit out and retrieve the cd. Again was stuck in car from previous owner. The CD was some country and western music if I remember rightly. To get the unit out was a real pain but there was a video on YouTube which showed me exactly how to do it.. got to take the piece out between the seats. Would be easier with seats out.
