In arrivo... Abarth 500

going to live with it stock first and then see what happens - i must admit it has been bought with the eye for a bit of light modding seeing as the other car has to remain as the maker sent it out to conserve it warranty .

I'm sure at first it will be acceptable and then you'll just want that little bit more. Quite a popular choice, I've always loved the Abarth 500 and lots of guys seem to be driving them

its a bit of a throwback i used to have a Cinquecento Sporting back in the day

In yellow? I remember a lad at school having one of them and he could only drive in trainers. And he drove like a granny

Our neighbours have a 500 in black it looks and sounds great
Off subject - Did you catch that rubbish yesterday Rob ? I'm starting to loose faith in Rodgers :(

One Great on the Pitch - and a lot of hangers on yesterday - pretty emotional scenes i must admit - but we should have won to give him the send off he needs ..best there is-best there was best there will ever be

Still got King Kenny as my all time hero but Gerrard is a close second

Very nice indeed, but what have you done with that 1 bhp as mine says 136 on the door plate

Have you started it from cold yet …. 8)

Yeah I think that upgrade option is essential - no point waiting after all ! Nothing quite like spending others money!

Very nice btw . .

:D

136 they are good door sills .... 1 bhp more ....

http://www.abarthcarconfigurator.com/en_UK/500/default.aspx

configurator shows 135 bhp

I have the convertible, perhaps they need that 1 bhp to overcome the fabric roof resistance ....

First mod for you - you can't possibly drive with a number plate that identifies you as someone driving in the South East

quite right I live no where near Edinburgh ..... :D pick it up at 12:30 ish

Nope but it might be getting one of these

Magneti Marelli SS500R2 Bombardone https://youtu.be/JGT7UNAs6dM

which at a bout 300 quid seems quite reasonable

That sounds good, definitely reasonable at 300!

The car also looks lovely! A friend of mine has the Abarth 500 Esseesse with the Monza, I thoroughly enjoyed the couple of trips out in it! Even if I did have to sit in the back and have my head bent against the ceiling!

Great choice Zermatt  Always loved the look of the Abarth 500. When looking for a new car for th gf last year we narrowed it down to choice between an Abarth or Mini Cooper. In the end we end we went with the Mini which has proved a good choice but I still have a hankering for the Abarth.

Nice motor! I nearly traded the Z in for a 595 competizione version earlier this year. The quad exhaust sound awesome but unfortunately the bucket seats were mounted far too high which was probably the only reason I didn't get it. Had the driving position of a bus with the competizione special buckets.
